As the Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili noted, from today, the mandatory use of face masks will be left only in medical institutions and on public transport.

„We had a discussion, Mr. Zurab Azarashvili met with health experts, representatives and it was decided that from now on the mandatory use of personal protective equipment will be left only in medical institutions and public transport. So from today, May 2, the rest of the other regulations will be removed. We have a very stable picture. Today we had 51 cases only and the situation is calm in this regard. This will allow us to further simplify the regulations and, as I have already told you, the mandatory wearing of the face masks will be abolished from today. Including in schools, because children are particularly grieving and not just children. Of course, we will observe the dynamics and act accordingly,“ - Irakli Gharibashvili said.
