Up to 12 kilograms of marijuana seized at Tbilisi airport - foreign citizen detained

Employees of the Main Directorate of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Customs Directorate of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, as a result of joint operational-search activities at the Tbilisi International Airport, detained a foreign citizen born in 1995 M.M. The information is disseminated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
According to the agency, the detainee is accused of illegally buying, storing, transporting a large amount of marijuana and illegally importing drugs into Georgia on an especially large scale. Crimes are punishable by imprisonment for up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
