Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Liza Yasko said that she was not allowed to go to prison to see ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili, although her documents were in order.
“So far I have had no problems visiting Mikheil Saakashvili in prison. Now, unfortunately, I cannot enter, although I have all the documents in order.
I'm really sorry if this is some new policy to refuse me to enter the prison. They tell me that I have to wait. But I am a member of the Ukrainian parliament and I have a job,” said Liza Yasko.
Former President Mikheil Saakashvili was arrested on October 1 last year. He is currently in the 12th penitentiary in Rustavi.
