Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the autumn conscription into the Armed Forces.
It is planned to call up 120 thousand people to the army. The relevant information was published on the Russian Internet portal of legal information.
The call will begin November 1st. For information, last year 127.5 thousand people were drafted into the Russian army. The Russian General Staff assures that they will not take conscripts to the war in Ukraine, although there is more than one fact of using conscripts in hostilities.
On September 21, Vladimir Putin announced "partial mobilization" in Russia. Despite this wording, the Ministry of Defense has been given such great powers that it can, in fact, conscript any person liable for military service. It is reported that those who have not served in the army, as well as those whose age is above the draft age, are often called up.
