The Armed Forces of Ukraine near the city of Liman surrounded the Russian grouping, numbering 5.5 thousand military personnel, Aleksey Arrestovich, adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, announced this in the Feigin Live program.
According to him, Liman will probably be released in a few days.
Arestovich says that different information is being spread from the front - according to one source, Liman is in complete encirclement, but there is information that the Russians can still leave the city from one side.
According to Arestovich, according to various sources, there are from 2.5 to 5.5 thousand soldiers surrounded.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine launched an offensive in the Liman area at the end of September. After the capture of this settlement, the offensive will probably continue in the direction of Lisichansk and Severodonetsk. At the same time, the Ukrainians are trying to capture the Svatovo settlement in the north in order to bypass the city of Lugansk from the north and cut it off from the border with Russia.
