A petition appeared on the website of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the authors of which propose to the President of Ukraine to rename Russia to "Muscovy". It is reported by regnum.ru.

The document also proposes to replace the term “Russian” with “Moscow”, and call the Russian Federation “Moscow Federation”.
A petition must receive 25,000 votes to be considered. Voting will continue for 90 days.
For reference, "Muscovy", also known as the "Grand Duchy of Moscow", was a feudal state in what is now Russia. It was formed in the middle of the 14th century as a result of the strengthening of the Moscow principality. In the second half of the 15th century, a long internecine feudal war was going on in the Grand Duchy of Moscow, which ended in the victory of Vasily II (1524-1462). At that time, the territory of the Grand Duchy of Moscow was 430 thousand km², and the population was 3 million people. In the second half of the 15th century, the Grand Duchy of Moscow (Muscovy) became the main core of the unified Russian state.
