"On the night of October 4, the Armenian armed forces opened fire several times on the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the Kalbajar region," the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said in a statement.
According to Baku, the Azerbaijani side also responded with fire.
"The military-political leadership of Armenia bears full responsibility for the deliberate aggravation of the situation," the report says.
