According to the Telegram channel NEXTA Live, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin made the corresponding statement.
The Russian diplomat said that the "conflict" would be resolved if Ukraine refused to join the EU and recognized the Russian language as the state language.
"The settlement is possible only if the hostilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the supply of Western weapons are stopped. In order to achieve a comprehensive, just and lasting peace, Ukraine must return to a neutral non-bloc status, recorded in the 1990 declaration of its state sovereignty," Galuzin said.
